Let me say it was great speaking to you again today after such grand hospitality we enjoyed over the festive season at Calderwood Hall. Such was the tranquil and enjoyable hospitality that I ended up forgetting my well cherished amasi Calderwood Hall which I know through your kindness will rejoin me in Bloemfontein very soon when your kind mother in law passes through on her way to Upington. once more thanks a lot and the best for 2012. See you again in December 2012. We stayed there Sunday night after Comrades. We were blown away with the service, facility, hospitality, tranquility of area and your meals.We wish we can bring family and friends to confirm their wedding vows.Thank so much for moving us closer to the main building and facilities to kindly assist with us in view of having my elderly parents and my own self-inflicted pain. I am Elisabeth from Norway, and I stayed together with my boyfriend at you last weekend. I just wanted to send a few lines telling how much we enjoyed it!! We had the best time, wedding or no wedding, and we have been around a lot the last 7 years in South Africa. If you ask us, this cant be compared to anything at all!!! It was just magnificent!! I have gotten a lot of "pepper" from my boyfriend, because I have to admit that I brought along the small shampoo bottles, hope you dont mind? It did not say please dont remove or anything.... Next Friday I am getting my family visiting, my sister, husband and three kids. I am going to "play" you guys then with my shampoo bottles... :-) Anyway, it is Saturday evening, and we have had a party, been in Durban, Umhlanga and another city with friends, they bought a car, so it has been a busy day, with a celebration of that, so I will not bother you too much I think. But THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR OUR STAY, WE LOVED IT!! And you are already recommended in a lot of countries. If it comes something out of it remains to be seen, but hope to get back to you! Calderwood Hall is a beautiful place to recharge batteries and the food was fantastic. The fillet was as tender as butter and my son says the mousse was definitely worth coming back for. The bedrooms were of the highest standard and the decor magnificent. You wonder about every vase, every portrait and every candle about the history behind it. Cathy Thompson I just wanted to say thank you very much for a wonderful stay at Calderwood Hall. Calderwood Hall exceeded both our expectations and was absolutely superb! The Food was amazing and we found ourselves waiting eagerly for the next meal.. even though we had been eating all day on the Meander! The staff were so friendly and accommodating and really made us feel at home. We loved the building and all the rich history that goes with it and enjoyed reading all about it in the booklet. The grounds were so serene and it was bliss just sitting watching the Weavers build their nests quietly sipping a drink or two. The Honeymoon suite is … ummm.. well… what can I say but WOW! We have never felt so pampered and special. Everything about our stay was PERFECT and we couldn’t have asked for anything better for our Honeymoon. Thank you so much! Wow did I just get the best feedback from my parents!!! They were at a loss for words. They said the food was out of this world, the service was exemplary, their room was described as something out of a fairytale etc etc etc. You have now got a long list of new guests. I cannot thank you and the staff more for making it as romantic and memorable as I ever could have hoped for. Their stay there is something they will remember forever…I think the only negative remark about the stay was that it was too darn SHORT! The blame is solely mine!...
